Overview:
The DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in the organizations software development and deployment processes by implementing and managing tools and practices that enhance collaboration between operations and development teams improve automation and streamline the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks for deployment and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and services.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented in all aspects of the DevOps pipeline.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to architectural designs.
- Design and implement containerization strategies.
- Manage and optimize the use of configuration management and orchestration tools.
- Conduct system capacity analysis and planning.
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and configurations.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies.
- Participate in oncall rotation for production support.
- Support the development team in adopting DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
- Handson experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Expertise in infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g. ELK Prometheus Grafana).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible Chef Puppet).
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced agile environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
- Knowledge of database technologies and SQL is desirable.
- Experience with Git and other version control tools.
