Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer(US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Provide daytoday desktop support for employees including troubleshooting hardware and software issues for Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Install configure and maintain desktop computers laptops printers mobile devices and other peripherals.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets phone calls and emails to resolve ITrelated issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up their workstations email accounts and access to necessary software and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates security patches and software installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity VPN and remote desktop issues.
- Support and configure enterprise software including Microsoft Office 365 collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams Slack) and antivirus software.
- Manage and maintain hardware inventory ensuring that devices are in good working condition and up to date.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support larger projects such as system upgrades deployments and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide training to users on new software applications hardware devices and best practices for maintaining system performance.
- Document troubleshooting procedures solutions and IT processes for internal use and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support for video conferencing systems audiovisual equipment and conference room technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in desktop support IT helpdesk or a related technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems including installation configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with common desktop software applications including Microsoft Office Suite web browsers and email clients.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues including desktops laptops printers and peripherals.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g. IP addressing DNS DHCP) and basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues.
- Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g. TeamViewer Remote Desktop etc.) and VPN solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical users.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing timely and effective solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of Active Directory Exchange and user account management is a plus.
- IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Microsoft Certified IT Professional or similar) are a plus.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
