RNTX Manager Ortho Neuro Med Surg URGENT Hispanics Welcome
The RNTX Manager for Ortho Neuro Med Surgical is a pivotal role within our healthcare organization tasked with overseeing the nursing operations and clinical practices in the orthopedic neurology and medicalsurgical units.
This manager will lead a team of dedicated nursing professionals to ensure that high standards of patient care are met and maintained.
The RNTX Manager will serve as a bridge between staff nursing and upper management providing valuable insights into the daily challenges faced by nursing teams while advocating for their needs.
Additionally this role involves implementing quality improvement initiatives managing budgets and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
With a focus on enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency the RNTX Manager plays a critical role in shaping the standards and practices within the department fostering a supportive and collaborative environment conducive to both staff development and patient care excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage clinical nursing staff in Ortho Neuro Med Surgical departments.
- Develop implement and evaluate policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Facilitate staff training and continuing education programs.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for improvement.
- Lead performance evaluations and foster staff development.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings to address staff concerns and share updates.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration.
- Address and resolve patient and family concerns regarding care.
- Participate in the hiring and orientation process for new nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure staff adherence to documentation practices.
- Implement quality assurance and safety initiatives.
- Assist in research and assessment projects to improve departmental practices.
- 2 years of RECENT ACUTE CARE LEADERSHIP experience in Med Surg Neuro and Ortho
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 25 years of nursing experience in Med Surg Ortho or Neuro specialties.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in healthcare technologies and electronic health records.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of budget management and financial planning.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
