As part of our ongoing efforts to grow our infrastructure footprint we are hiring a Data Center Operations Technician.
Data Center Operations Technicians at Exoscale are key to maintaining and expanding our hardware infrastructure. From managing physical and network systems to ensuring seamless operations this role directly supports the growth and reliability of our platform.
Challenges you will be working on:
Execute physical operations and installations directly within data centers.
Collaborate with local data center teams to remotely coordinate operations and installations.
Provision deploy and replace network components both onsite and remotely.
Diagnose and resolve hardware failures efficiently.
Oversee the replacement of faulty components by coordinating with local teams and suppliers.
Develop and implement automation for recurring operational tasks.
Manage and update the inventory of physical assets across data center locations.
Ensure the availability of hardware spare parts at local data center sites.
Maintain and continuously improve internal documentation and standard operating procedures.
Ideal candidates are:
Experienced in working with physical computer hardware.
Proficient in handling and managing physical network cabling.
Skilled in managing and configuring network devices.
Familiar with data center operations and best practices.
Knowledgeable in Linux operating systems and their administration.
Possesses strong English communication skills both written and verbal.
Familiar with GitOps principles and workflows.
Experience with Python or Golang is a plus.

Vienna
Regular travel within the same country is expected including routes such as:
Zurich > Geneva
Frankfurt > Munich
Occasional travel to other data center locations across Europe may also be required.
