Job Description
For our motivated team we are looking for a Cloud Engineer in Zrich (Switzerland). This position will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining a secure scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure to support the Sika Data Platform built on Azure Databricks. The role involves ensuring the seamless integration of data workloads compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards and optimization of cloud resources to meet the diverse needs of Sikas companies and functions. Additionally the Cloud Engineer will play a key role in automating processes supporting disaster recovery plans and evaluating emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
MAIN TASKS
Design and deploy secure scalable and costeffective cloud solutions for data workloads on Azure.
Automate provisioning monitoring and scaling of cloud resources ensuring high availability.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans including data backup and restoration processes.
Collaborate with security teams to enforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and compliance with organizational standards.
Optimize cloud networking architecture to ensure efficient data transfer between onpremises and cloud environments.
Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud services including serverless computing and advanced analytics tools.
Support Azure DevOps solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with Azure and Databricks.
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture design security frameworks and cost optimization strategies.
Handson expertise in automation tools (e.g. Bicep Terraform Azure CLI) and monitoring solutions.
Proficiency in implementing IAM policies disaster recovery strategies and data protection protocols.
Familiarity with Azure networking concepts and hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a crossfunctional team.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or similar are a plus.
