Role Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced and forwardthinking Design Lead to join their dynamic team in Shenzhen China. Shenzhen is a hightech city and a major technology hub in southern China known for its innovation and growth. This role involves leading a global team of product designers and contributing to the design of their diverse range of products including consumer applications and B2B SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong UX design background leadership experience and a passion for delivering usercentric products. Specifically the client is seeking a candidate with work and living experience in the USA to ensure familiarity with current US trends. Please note that the successful candidate will need to relocate to China for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management:
  

• Lead mentor and manage a distributed team of product designers promoting a collaborative and innovative design culture.
  
• Oversee the full design process from ideation to implementation ensuring highquality design standards across all projects.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams such as product managers engineers and marketers to align design strategies with business goals.
  
• Conduct regular design reviews providing constructive feedback and encouraging continuous improvement within the design team.
  

• HandsOn UX Design:
  

• Drive the UX design process for a variety of products including user research prototyping testing and delivering highfidelity design solutions.
  
• Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive design systems and guidelines for a consistent user experience.
  
• Create intuitive engaging and visually appealing designs that enhance user experience and drive engagement.
  
• Stay uptodate with design trends and best practices to ensure their products remain innovative.
  

• User Research & Testing:
  

• Conduct indepth user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  
• Analyze user feedback and data to inform ongoing design improvements ensuring products meet user needs and expectations.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Design HumanComputer Interaction or a related field.
  
• 7 years of experience in UX/UI design with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  
• Proven track record of designing successful products in consumer apps B2B SaaS or similar industries.
  
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  
• A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX design and a usercentric approach.
  
• Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to generate design variations and confidently explain design choices to leadership and team members.
  
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fastpaced dynamic and crosscultural environment.
  
• Familiarity with agile development processes and collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
  

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with AIpowered products.
  
• Knowledge of frontend/client development technologies is a plus.
  
• Passion for innovation and staying at the forefront of design trends and technologies.
  
• Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required.
  
• Specifically looking for candidates with work and living experience in the USA to ensure understanding of current US trends and consumer behavior.

This position is based in Shenzhen China a leading technology hub. The successful candidate will be required to relocate to Shenzhen for this opportunity.
