Job Description

Job Title: General Manager Plant

We required this position for our group company VILAS transcore Limited Ganapatpura(Karjan) 20 KMS from Vadodara Vilas Transcore specializes in the manufacturing and supply of components for power distribution and transmission sector .

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager Plant to lead our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management operational efficiency and team leadership. In this role you will oversee all aspects of plant operations including production quality control maintenance and safety.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Management or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production management
Proven track record of successfully managing a manufacturing plant
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards
Experience with budget management and cost control
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment
Knowledge of quality control and assurance practices
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to develop and implement operational strategies
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team

Responsibility
1. Operational Excellence and Production Management
o Ensure efficient and effective operations across all four divisions optimizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
o Implement best practices in manufacturing to enhance operational efficiency and ensure quality standards are met.
2. Strategic Planning and Future Growth
o Develop and execute a strategic plan for the plant including a threeyear outlook on capacity expansion technological upgrades and market positioning.
o Align divisional goals with the company s longterm strategic vision and growth objectives.
3. CrossDivisional Coordination and Synergy
o Foster collaboration among the division heads to leverage shared resources and capabilities ensuring cohesive operation across different product lines.
o Encourage knowledge sharing and best practices among divisions to drive overall plant efficiency.
4. Financial Performance and Cost Management
o Oversee the financial health of the plant focusing on cost management profitability and achieving financial targets.
o Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and operational standards.
5. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
o Ensure all divisions adhere to strict quality control standards and implement continuous improvement programs.
o Lead initiatives to reduce defects enhance product quality and drive innovation in production processes.
6. Supply Chain and Inventory Optimization
o Manage the supply chain to ensure efficient procurement inventory management and distribution processes.
o Optimize inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while ensuring timely availability of materials for production.
7. Leadership Development and Team Management
o Lead and develop the division heads and their teams fostering a highperformance culture focused on achieving strategic goals.
o Promote employee engagement retention and succession planning within the plant.
8. Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Compliance
o Ensure the plant complies with all safety health and environmental regulations.
o Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in SHE practices.
9. Client Investor and Stakeholder Engagement
o Act as the primary contact for clients investors and stakeholders ensuring their requirements and expectations are met.
o Expedite supply chain management processes to maintain strong relationships with external partners.
