Job Description
Overview:
The Salon Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the salon. They are responsible for overseeing daily operations managing staff and providing exceptional customer service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee salon staff including hiring training and scheduling.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and handle any client issues or concerns.
- Develop and implement salon policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation.
- Monitor inventory and product supplies and place orders as needed.
- Oversee salon cleanliness organization and maintenance.
- Create and maintain a positive professional and welcoming salon environment.
- Coordinate and promote salon services and retail products.
- Handle salon financial responsibilities such as budgeting and performance analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Resolve any staffing or operational issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and expectations.
- Collaborate with stylists and other staff to maintain highquality services.
- Track and analyze salon performance metrics.
- Participate in the marketing and promotion of salon services.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a salon management or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong customer service and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in salon software and scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of salon products equipment and industry trends.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Understanding of financial aspects including budgeting and inventory management.
- Certification or training in salon management is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Ability to maintain a professional and welcoming salon atmosphere.
- Passion for the beauty and wellness industry.
