Overview
The Oracle RMCS Specialist plays a crucial role in designing implementing and maintaining Oracle Retail Merchandising Customer Systems (RMCS) to support the organizations retail operations. They work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the seamless integration of RMCS into the existing infrastructure and provide technical expertise in optimizing and customizing the system to meet specific business needs. This role is paramount in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the retail operations by leveraging Oracle RMCS capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and implementing Oracle RMCS solutions to meet business requirements.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for RMCS functionalities.
- Developing and maintaining Oracle RMCS applications including customization configuration and performance optimization.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle RMCSrelated issues.
- Integrating RMCS with other systems such as ERP and CRM to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Conducting regular system maintenance and performance tuning to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for RMCS configurations customizations and integrations.
- Participating in system testing including unit testing integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Training end users and technical staff on Oracle RMCS usage and best practices.
- Staying abreast of the latest Oracle RMCS updates patches and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to address RMCSrelated issues and enhancements.
- Participating in the evaluation and selection of RMCSrelated technologies and tools.
- Conducting performance analysis and capacity planning for RMCS to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Assisting in the development of RMCSrelated policies procedures and guidelines.
- Participating in the implementation of data security and compliance measures within RMCS.
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Oracle RMCS implementation and support.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience in database design and modeling for Oracle RMCS.
- Strong understanding of retail business processes and operations.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting and problemsolving within Oracle RMCS environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
- Certification in Oracle RMCS or related technologies is a plus.
- Experience in system integration with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for Oracle RMCS.
- Familiarity with retail industry trends and best practices in RMCS implementation.
