Position Writer Research Publication
Location Mumbai
Education Qualification PhD in Microbiology Genomics Infectious Disease or
Immunology; Or MSc in Genetics Human Genetics Life Sciences Microbiology with 2 to 3 years of experience in scientific writing
Duration of the project 6 months
Who are we
Based out of IIT Bombay HaystackAnalytics is a HealthTech company creating clinical genomics products which enable diagnostic labs and hospitals to offer accurate and personalized diagnostics. Supported by Indias most respected science agencies (DST BIRAC DBT etc.) we created and launched a portfolio of products to offer genomics in infectious diseases. Our genomicsbased diagnostic solution for Tuberculosis was recognized as one of top innovations supported by BIRAC in the past 10 years and was launched by the Prime Minister of India in the BIRAC Showcase event in Delhi 2022.
What we want you to do
- Write and edit scientific documents including case reports research articles reviews white paper and technical reports.
- Collaborate with researchers subject matter experts and other team members to ensure accuracy and clarity of scientific content.
- Translate complex scientific concepts into clear concise and engaging content.
- Ensure all content adheres to publication guidelines and meets research standards.
- Review and revise content based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a guide for manuscript writing within the organization.
- Assist in preparing presentations posters and other scientific communication materials.
- Contribute to the development of scientific communication strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
- The candidate must have the ability to write research papers independently without relying on AI tools or ChatGPT.
- Proven experience in scientific writing preferably in an academic or research setting.
- Proven track record in the publication of research papers.
- The applicant must be the first author of their published research papers.
Skills
- Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills with a keen attention to details.
- Strong understanding of scientific research methodologies and principles in the broad areas of microbiology epidemiology genomics and immunology.
- Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and integrate information from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in Google & Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with scientific publishing standards.
