Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Conducting patient consultations and physical examinations to diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans
- Performing surgical procedures to treat internal and external injuries or diseases
- Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as Xrays MRIs and laboratory tests
- Prescribing and administering appropriate medications and treatments
- Maintaining accurate and updated patient medical records
- Providing counseling and education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options
- Participating in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Keeping abreast of advancements in medical technology surgical techniques and treatment protocols
- Adhering to professional and ethical standards in all medical and surgical practices
Required qualifications
- MD and DNB in Medicine with a specialization in General Surgery
- MS in General Surgery from a recognized institution
- Valid medical license to practice as a surgeon
- Proven experience in performing a wide range of surgical procedures
- Indepth knowledge of medical diagnosis treatment and patient care principles
- Strong surgical skills and precision in performing complex procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highpressure healthcare environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and ongoing medical education
- Sound judgment and decisionmaking abilities in critical medical situations
- Adherence to medical ethics and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Proficiency in using medical and surgical equipment and technology
