Job Description
Job Title: Quality Head Renewable Energy
Location: Gurgaon
About Employer: One of the largest players in the renewable sector
Position Summary:
The Quality Head will oversee the quality assurance and control functions for the companys renewable energy projects ensuring that all projects meet regulatory requirements industry standards and company objectives. The role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of quality management within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Strategy:
- Develop and implement quality management strategies for solar wind and hybrid energy projects.
- Establish quality standards and ensure adherence across all projects.
- Lead the quality team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Compliance Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards.
- Liaise with agencies to manage certifications and inspections.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address compliance issues.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Oversee quality audits inspections and testing throughout project lifecycles.
- Evaluate supplier quality and ensure that equipment and materials meet quality specifications.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including policies manuals and procedures.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce nonconformance and enhance project efficiency.
- Utilize datadriven approaches for root cause analysis and problemsolving.
- Benchmark best practices in the renewable energy sector and integrate them into the companys quality processes.
Project Management Support:
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure quality requirements are integrated into project plans.
- Conduct quality risk assessments and ensure that quality objectives are met in line with project timelines.
- Facilitate communication between crossfunctional teams to resolve qualityrelated issues.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: BE/BTech in Mechanical Electrical or related engineering field.
- Experience: 1824 years in quality management with at least 5 years of recent experience in the renewable energy sector (solar wind and battery).
- Indepth understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong leadership team management and mentoring abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques such as FMEA SPC and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and decisionmaking skills.
