Job Description
Overview
The SAP ABAP Developer plays a critical role in the design development and implementation of SAP applications within our organization. As an expert with 68 years of experience in ABAP programming you will be instrumental in optimizing our SAP system to meet our evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. This position is vital in ensuring that our SAP solutions are efficient reliable and aligned with industry best practices. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency data integrity and user satisfaction. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills a proactive approach to problemsolving and a commitment to maintaining highquality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain ABAP programs for various SAP modules.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Implement and enhance user exits BAdIs and enhancements.
- Create and modify reports interfaces conversions and forms (RICEF).
- Optimize existing code for performance improvements.
- Debug programs and troubleshoot defects in ABAP applications.
- Participate in system upgrades and migration projects.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.
- Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Document development processes and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Stay updated with SAP technology trends and best practices.
- Provide support for SAP issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Mentor junior ABAP developers and share knowledge within the team.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
- Manage endtoend development cycles from conception to deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 68 years of handson experience in ABAP development.
- Deep understanding of various SAP modules (e.g. SD MM FI).
- Experience with Objectoriented ABAP programming.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA and S/4HANA is a plus.
- Strong experience in Performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of web services and RESTful APIs.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in SAP Data Dictionary concepts.
- Experience in developing reports using ALV reporting tools.
- Good understanding of SAP ALE and IDocs for interfaces.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- A valid SAP certification is preferred.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (Java SQL) is a bonus.
