Overview
The SAP Ariba Consultant plays a critical role in managing and optimizing procurement processes within an organization. With an experience of 6 to 8 years this position bridges the gap between technology and procurement strategy. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of implementing SAP Ariba solutions to enhance supply chain collaboration streamline procurement and drive costeffective purchasing practices. The consultant will work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify business requirements conduct system configurations and provide ongoing support and training for users. The ability to analyze procurement data and generate actionable insights is essential to drive continuous improvement. This role is integral to ensuring that the organization not only meets but exceeds its procurement goals through the effective utilization of SAP Ariba solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and configure SAP Ariba solutions in alignment with business requirements.
- Manage procurement processes including sourcing contract management and supplier performance evaluation.
- Conduct training sessions for endusers to enhance system adoption and effective use.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into SAP Ariba functionalities.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain high service levels.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Develop documentation including training materials user manuals and process flows.
- Coordinate with IT and development teams for system enhancements and upgrades.
- Support change management efforts and communication plans related to SAP Ariba implementation.
- Work on ongoing system maintenance and updates to ensure compliance with business goals.
- Facilitate workshops for process design and system configuration.
- Evaluate vendor responses and support the selection process as needed.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment.
- Create dashboards and reports to present key performance indicators to management.
- Stay updated with SAP Ariba release updates and enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology or a related field.
- 68 years of experience working with SAP Ariba in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Experience in project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crossfunctional projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Handson experience configuring procurement modules in SAP Ariba.
- Familiarity with supplier relationship management (SRM) concepts.
- Proven problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certification in SAP Ariba is a plus.
- Knowledge of the latest market trends in procurement technology.
- Experience in developing training material and user support resources.
- Basic understanding of applications integration with SAP Ariba.
