Overview
The SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity accuracy and consistency of data across the organization. This position is vital as it helps businesses leverage their data assets to enhance decisionmaking and improve operational efficiency. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders including business leaders and IT teams to define data governance strategies implement SAP MDG solutions and optimize master data management processes. With a focus on establishing best practices this role involves analyzing existing data processes identifying gaps and recommending improvements. The SAP MDG Consultant will also be tasked with training users and ensuring adherence to governance policies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP MDG functionalities and must possess strong analytical technical and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement SAP MDG solutions to manage master data efficiently.
- Develop data governance frameworks and policies for master data management.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and define KPIs.
- Conduct data quality assessments and improve data integrity.
- Facilitate workshops to educate stakeholders on best practices in data governance.
- Provide guidance on system integration and data migration strategies.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics and performance.
- Identify and resolve data issues by collaborating with data stewards.
- Support user acceptance testing and change management processes.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data governance and MDG processes.
- Assist in defining and implementing workflows for data maintenance.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
- Stay updated on SAP MDG enhancements and industry trends.
- Conduct training sessions for endusers on SAP MDG functionalities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing data management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 68 years of experience in SAP MDG implementation.
- Expertise in SAP modules related to data management.
- Strong understanding of data governance concepts and practices.
- Handson experience with data quality tools and methodologies.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with integration of SAP MDG with other SAP modules.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in conducting training and workshops.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance.
- Certifications in SAP MDG or related areas are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and changes in the data landscape.
- Willingness to travel if needed for project implementations.
