Job Description

Overview

The Interventional Cardiologist DM DNB Consultant plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating complex cardiovascular conditions. This specialist is essential within a healthcare organization focusing on minimally invasive procedures that can significantly improve patient outcomes. The consultant will work closely with a multidisciplinary team utilizing advanced technology and techniques to address various heart conditions including coronary artery disease valvular heart diseases and other structural heart issues. The position demands a commitment to continuous education and research in cardiovascular care ensuring the application of the latest evidencebased practices. Additionally the consultant will contribute to the training of junior doctors and support the development of clinical guidelines. As cardiovascular diseases remain a leading cause of morbidity and mortality the expertise of an Interventional Cardiologist becomes increasingly vital in improving patient survival and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments.
  • Perform interventional procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement.
  • Utilize advanced imaging techniques for diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and surgeons for patient management.
  • Educate patients and families about heart disease and treatment options.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research studies.
  • Mentor junior staff and medical trainees.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Consult with other specialists on complex cases.
  • Lead patient education programs on cardiovascular health.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiology.
  • Conduct followup visits to assess outcomes postprocedure.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of DM/DNB in Cardiology.
  • Board certification in Interventional Cardiology.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in cardiology practice.
  • Proven track record in performing interventional procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in clinical research and trials.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
