Overview
The Compliance & Audit Executive plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization adheres to legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining high ethical standards. This position is essential for protecting the organization from potential risks and fostering a culture of compliance. The Executive will be responsible for conducting audits implementing compliance programs and monitoring adherence to industry regulations and internal policies. By identifying gaps and recommending improvements this role contributes to the overall effectiveness and integrity of the company s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements.
- Review internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports to senior management.
- Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training for staff.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the organization.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Monitor compliance metrics and develop action plans as needed.
- Support investigations into compliancerelated issues misconduct or violations.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to team members and management.
- Implement corrective actions to address identified compliance issues.
- Work with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
- Assist in managing and mitigating compliance risks across the organization.
- Document all compliance activities for audit trails.
- Participate in developing compliance policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance auditing or risk management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Knowledge of audit processes and methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Certification in compliance or auditing (e.g. CISA CCEP) is a plus.
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance integrity.
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize competing demands.
