Job Description
Overview
The Pediatric Hospital is seeking a dedicated BAMS BHMS RMO (Resident Medical Officer) to join our team in delivering exceptional healthcare to children. This crucial role involves overseeing the immediate medical care for pediatric patients ensuring their wellbeing and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment plans. The BAMS BHMS RMO will serve as a vital link between patients and specialist doctors fostering an environment where pediatric patients feel safe understood and cared for. With an emphasis on preventive care and health education this position also allows for the opportunity to contribute to community health initiatives aimed at enhancing childrens health outcomes. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our hospital s mission to provide highquality pediatric care in a compassionate and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments for pediatric patients upon admission.
- Administer treatments and medications as per medical protocols.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Coordinate with specialists regarding care plans for complex cases.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management and preventive care.
- Participate in pediatric emergency care and resuscitation efforts as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
- Support the nursing staff in executing patient care plans effectively.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
- Engage in professional development activities and training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care delivery.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior medical staff.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.
- Contribute to health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
- Act as a primary point of contact for patient queries and advocacy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Ayurveda or Homeopathy (BAMS/BHMS).
- Valid medical license to practice in the respective field.
- Previous experience in a pediatric medical setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a highpressure environment.
- Proficient in clinical documentation and patient management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Knowledge of emergency protocols and basic life support certification.
- Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care and a deep understanding of pediatric needs.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Familiarity with health education resources and community outreach programs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in local languages and English to communicate effectively with patients and families.
