Job Description
- Develop implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
- Create and update sitespecific health and safety plans
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections
- Perform daily site health and safety inspections
- Identify potential health and safety hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with project stakeholders on health and safety matters
- Work closely with the resident construction manager project managers architects engineers and subcontractors to ensure health and safety protocols are followed
- Conduct regular health and safety meetings and reviews
- Investigate health and safety incidents and nonconformances
- Document and report all health and safety incidents and nonconformances
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop preventive measures
- Provide health and safety training and education
- Conduct health and safety orientation for new hires
- Provide ongoing health and safety training for all site personnel
- Maintain proper documentation and recordkeeping
- Ensure all health and safety documentation is accurate and uptodate
- Maintain detailed records of all health and safety activities including inspection reports and incident investigations
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Safety Engineering Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety NEBOSH IOSH or similar certifications will be preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction health and safety management
- Proven experience in managing health and safety programs on largescale construction projects.
- Expertise and knowledge in Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) and PreEngineered Buildings (PEB) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety standards and best practices
- Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency in health and safety management software and tools
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving health and safety issues
- Certifications in health and safety management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH)
- Experience with prefabricated construction methods
- Familiarity with hybrid structural systems
- Knowledge of the latest health and safety technologies and trends.
