Overview
The Odoo Functional Consultant plays a vital role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within our organization. This position involves working closely with clients to understand their unique requirements tailoring the Odoo ERP system to fit their business processes and ensuring successful implementation and support. As a key member of the consulting team the Odoo Functional Consultant is responsible for fostering relationships with clients providing training and facilitating workshops that help stakeholders leverage the full capabilities of the Odoo platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Odoo functionalities combined with excellent interpersonal skills enabling them to translate technical details into business value. This role is essential in ensuring smooth project execution and enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering optimized Odoo solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct business requirements assessments and gather document and analyze user specifications.
- Configure Odoo modules based on client specifications and business processes.
- Provide expert consultation on best practices related to Odoo solutions.
- Design and implement Odoo functional specifications workflows and data models.
- Perform data migration from legacy systems to Odoo.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for endusers and stakeholders.
- Engage with clients to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to solutions.
- Participate in project planning and management activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure system integrations meet outlined requirements.
- Support clients in troubleshooting and resolving issues with Odoo functionalities.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation including user manuals and training resources.
- Assist in presales activities by demonstrating Odoo capabilities to potential clients.
- Stay updated on Odoo developments and industry trends for continual improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions with clients.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while adhering to budget constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Odoo functional consulting.
- Proficiency in one or more Odoo modules (e.g. Sales CRM Inventory Accounting).
- Strong understanding of business processes and how they align with ERP systems.
- Experience in project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology is preferred.
- Experience with data import/export and data transformation processes.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and implementation processes.
- Certification in Odoo functional consulting is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements as necessary.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
