Overview
The Video Editor plays a critical role in shaping and enhancing the visual narrative of our projects at UMAGAN located in Howrah. This position is essential for producing highquality video content that meets the expectations of our clients and audiences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and will be responsible for selecting audio video and graphics integrating them into a creative whole that tells a compelling story. The Video Editor will collaborate with directors and producers to ensure that the final product aligns with the artistic vision and maintains brand consistency. As a key contributor to our creative team the Video Editor will leverage their expertise in various editing software to create engaging and polished videos that captivate audiences. With projects ranging from promotional materials to informative content the role requires adaptability and a strong collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with producers and directors to understand project requirements.
- Edit raw footage into a polished final product in line with project needs.
- Select and integrate music dialogues graphics and effects to enhance storytelling.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously within tight deadlines.
- Ensure video continuity and technical accuracy throughout the editing process.
- Perform color correction and enhancement for a professional finish.
- Review and edit project drafts incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain organization of video files and ensure proper data management.
- Stay updated with trends in video editing and technology enhancements.
- Collaborate with sound designers to synchronize audio and video elements.
- Prepare and deliver final videos in required formats for various platforms.
- Assist in the scripting and storyboarding process to align on vision.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the editing process.
- Support the marketing team by creating impactful promotional videos.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to foster creativity.
