About the Role
As the Senior Editor Academic Video Production you will play a critical role in elevating the quality and engagement of our academic video content. You will oversee the endtoend production process ensuring alignment with educational objectives and maintaining high standards of creativity and professionalism. Your leadership will shape the future of videobased learning at IIDE.
What Youll Do
Video Production Leadership:
- Lead the production of highquality academic videos including tutorials lectures and instructional content.
- Review and refine scripts and storyboards to ensure alignment with learning objectives.
- Supervise video editing motion graphics and postproduction processes to deliver polished outputs.
Creative Direction:
- Develop innovative approaches to enhance video content through animations graphics and audio elements.
- Maintain consistency in branding and instructional tone across all video materials.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with subject matter experts academic teams and designers to ensure video accuracy and relevance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior editors and production staff.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough reviews of video content to ensure clarity engagement and production excellence.
- Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the video development process.
StudentCentric Focus:
- Adapt video content based on student needs and learning challenges.
- Collect feedback from learners and faculty to refine and optimize content delivery.
Process Optimization:
- Streamline production workflows to maximize efficiency without compromising quality.
- Stay updated with the latest video production trends and tools incorporating them into workflows.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to curriculum innovation by integrating multimedia content.
- Perform any other duties as required aligned with the scope of the position.
Requirements
Who You Are
MustHave:
- 36 years of professional experience in video production or academic content creation.
- Expertise in video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or equivalent software.
- Strong storytelling and scripting skills with a knack for creating engaging educational content.
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts or academic course material.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines.
ShouldHave:
- Experience in managing video production teams or projects.
- Sensitivity to diverse learning needs and the ability to simplify complex topics for beginners.
NicetoHave:
- Proficiency in motion graphics or animation tools like After Effects.
- Completed a Digital Marketing certification or related course.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles or elearning trends.
Educational Background
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in media communications film production or a related field.
- Certifications or formal training in video production or editing will be an advantage.
