Job Description

Overview

The HR Manager for the Hospital in Ludhiana Punjab plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive working environment that enhances employee satisfaction and productivity. This role is integral to ensuring that the hospital attracts retains and develops skilled healthcare professionals necessary for delivering highquality patient care. By implementing effective HR strategies and programs the HR Manager supports the hospital s goals while ensuring compliance with labor regulations and healthcare standards. This position requires a proactive leader who can liaise between management and staff addressing concerns and promoting a culture of respect and teamwork. The HR Manager is also responsible for designing and overseeing various HR initiatives such as training and development programs which are crucial in a constantly evolving healthcare landscape. Ultimately this role is essential for contributing to a workforce that is engaged skilled and committed to the hospitals mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR policies and practices tailored for the hospital.
  • Manage the recruitment process including job postings interviews and selections.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and improve employee engagement and satisfaction initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation between employees and management.
  • Develop performance appraisal systems and provide coaching to managers.
  • Maintain employee records and handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Conduct workforce planning and assist with succession planning efforts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess workforce needs.
  • Implement compensation and benefits programs to attract top talent.
  • Lead initiatives for diversity and inclusion within the hospital.
  • Manage employee relations and address grievances in a timely manner.
  • Compile and analyze HR metrics to inform decisionmaking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Master s degree or HR certification (e.g. SHRM PHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience ideally in healthcare.
  • Proven experience in recruitment employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience.
  • Experience with HR software and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff and management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and issues.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
