Job Description

A passion for fantasy worlds has long been ingrained in our studio and at last we can announce we have embarked on a journey into that beloved realm. With a party of veteran IOI guild members and new wizards and sorceresses of the industry we are building an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre. If you share a similar passion for creating welcoming heartfelt bold and impactful worlds join us and together we will write the next chapter in IOIs history.

As we work on these exciting projects we need a Technical Director to assist us in the development of our stateoftheart propriety game development engine Glacier.

This is a permanent position based in one of our studios with the option to work from home up to two days per week.

What you will do:

  • Shape the games infrastructure systems and tools to deliver smooth online game play.
  • Align technology strategies with the games design vision and production schedule to meet milestones efficiently.
  • Guide and inspire technical team leads helping to develop a strong and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Conduct regular technical reviews to ensure highquality and maintainable code.
  • Facilitate communication between art design and engineering teams to solve complex crossdiscipline challenges.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in a Technical Director or similar leadership role ideally on AAA or online multiplayer games.
  • Strong background in game systems architecture and online infrastructure.
  • Experience mentoring and growing technical teams.
  • A problemsolving mindset and ability to bridge the gap between art design and engineering.
  • Passion for fantasy worlds and the games that bring them to life!
