Overview:
The MBBS Resident Medical Officer (RMO) plays a critical role in the healthcare delivery system of our organization in Odisha. This position is vital for ensuring that patients receive highquality care during their stay at the medical facility. The RMO will work under the supervision of senior medical staff providing essential clinical care performing assessments and responding to emergencies. As a frontline healthcare provider the RMO will be responsible for maintaining the safety and wellbeing of patients while ensuring adherence to medical protocols and guidelines. This role demands a compassionate approach and a driven work ethic as RMOs are often the first point of contact for patients in need of immediate medical attention. The RMO will also collaborate closely with nursing and administrative staff enhancing the overall functioning of the healthcare team and ensuring efficiency in medical practices for optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and perform appropriate clinical examinations.
- Document patient histories and symptoms accurately in medical records.
- Formulate and implement patient care plans in collaboration with senior doctors.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the supervising physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
- Assist in emergency situations through immediate medical intervention.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses procedures and followup care.
- Participate in patient rounds and contribute to discussions on treatment plans.
- Manage and triage patients presenting in outpatient and emergency settings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean safe and efficient work environment.
- Engage in continuous medical education and professional development opportunities.
- Provide input for improving hospital protocols and procedures based on clinical experience.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior medical staff and interns.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
- Registered with the Odisha Medical Council.
- Minimum of 12 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical principles techniques and patient care protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records.
- Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
