Overview
The SAP MM Consultant plays a critical role in managing the materials management processes in organizations utilizing SAP systems. This key position requires a comprehensive understanding of the SAP MM module customary procurement processes and inventory management. The consultant works collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to support various procurement initiatives streamline supply chain operations and implement best practices within the SAP framework. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Configure SAP MM module based on business needs and industry best practices.
- Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to optimize materials management processes.
- Facilitate user training sessions to enhance understanding of SAP MM functionalities.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate MM processes with other SAP modules.
- Assist in system testing and validation of new configurations and enhancements.
- Provide postimplementation support troubleshooting issues related to MM processes.
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure adherence to company policies and compliance.
- Prepare detailed documentation for all configuration changes and systems improvements.
- Participate in project planning and deployment related to SAP MM enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience specifically in service procurement ideally within IDOC.
- Proficient in configuring and utilizing the SAP MM module.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management practices.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP MM and other SAP modules.
- Exceptional problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
