Job Description
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Capacity Study: Experience in analysing and optimizing production capacity to improve efficiency.
- Process Improvement & Gap Analysis: Knowledge in identifying inefficiencies in current workflows and conducting gap analysis to bridge performance shortfalls.
- IT Integration: Expertise in integrating IT solutions like barcoding systems tracking material flow and supporting afterproduction processes.
- SOP & Work Instructions: Familiarity with developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for production lines.
- Sign Boards & Visual Management: Experience in setting up visual controls like signboards to facilitate lean manufacturing principles.
- Production Guidelines (DO s and Don ts): Handson experience in defining and monitoring best practices and safety norms on the shop floor.
- KPI Management: Ability to define track and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency and employee performance.
- Codification and Asset Register: Understanding asset management codification practices and creating an asset register.
- Line Balancing: Competency in ensuring that production lines are balanced for optimized throughput.
- Storage & Material Flow Norms: Experience with storage management and optimizing material flow to avoid bottlenecks.
- Vendor Management: Skills in managing relationships with suppliers negotiating contracts and ensuring timely procurement of materials.
- Tracking and Traceability: Ability to set up systems for tracking production processes and ensuring product traceability.
- ISO Certifications: Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO certification standards such as ISO 9001 for quality management.
- Industry Standards: Experience in working with Total Quality Management (TQM) Toyota Production System (TPS) Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Look for candidates who have worked in manufacturing industries particularly in sectors like automotive electronics or heavy machinery where process optimization and IT integration play crucial roles.
- Certifications: Candidates with Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or ISO auditor certifications would be preferred.
- TVS Process Alignment: Familiarity with working in environments like TVS including following standards like TQM or TPS would be essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems barcoding software and production tracking tools.
