Overview
The Business Analyst in the Life Sciences domain plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the organization. With over 8 years of experience the individual will be responsible for gathering requirements analyzing data and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of projects that comply with industry standards and regulations. The Business Analyst will leverage their analytical skills and domain expertise to provide insights that inform strategic decisionmaking ensuring that business objectives align with technological solutions. As part of a dynamic team in Chennai this position demands a keen understanding of industry trends regulatory landscapes and a commitment to delivering highquality solutions that meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to drive business insights.
- Develop business models and process maps to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and project management teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit information from stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all project activities.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the life sciences sector.
- Assist in the development of user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies.
- Support change management initiatives within the organization.
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to management and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain technical documentation and manage project artifacts.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in life sciences initiatives.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process enhancement and optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Life Sciences or related field.
- Masters degree or relevant certification (e.g. CBAP PMIPBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the life sciences domain.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as FDA EMA or GxP.
- Proven experience in data analysis and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
- Strong problemsolving skills and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) is a plus.
- Knowledge of clinical trials and drug development processes.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into business language.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
