Dialer Engineer Job Description
Overview
The Dialer Engineer plays a critical role in the operation and optimization of outbound calling systems within an organization. Responsible for the configuration management and maintenance of dialer systems this position ensures efficient call flow and enhances the overall productivity of contact centers. This role is pivotal in managing the technical aspects of dialing solutions including predictive progressive and preview dialing modes. The Dialer Engineer collaborates closely with other IT departments contact center operations and telecom vendors to ensure seamless integration into existing systems and processes. In addition to technical skills the role requires analytical thinking to evaluate performance metrics and implement process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and problemsolving abilities fostering an environment where productivity and efficiency are continuously improved. By ensuring seamless operation of dialing systems the Dialer Engineer not only contributes to business goals but also enhances customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install configure and maintain dialer systems.
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
  • Implement upgrades and patches as necessary.
  • Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot issues.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize dialing strategies.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations and changes.
  • Test system updates and new features before implementation.
  • Train staff on best practices for using dialing systems.
  • Manage integration of thirdparty applications with dialer systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and telemarketing laws.
  • Assist in designing and creating dialer campaigns.
  • Evaluate software and hardware solutions for dialer improvements.
  • Provide project management support for system enhancements.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in telephony and dialing.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • 1 years of experience in dialer system management.
  • Strong knowledge of dialing software (e.g. Genesys Aspect Nice).
  • Proficient in telecommunications and VoIP technologies.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Strong problemsolving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience scripting in languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Comfortable with system integrations and API usage.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of call center operations and metrics.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
