Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Lathe Machine Operator with a 12th Pass education and ITI Certification to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience operating lathe machines a strong understanding of tool room operations and a commitment to precision in machining tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Preparation: Prepare and set up lathe machines for machining operations ensuring all tools and materials are correctly positioned.
- Operation and Maintenance: Operate lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning boring threading and facing metal or plastic materials. Maintain machinery by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Quality Assurance: Utilize measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers to inspect and verify dimensions of finished products ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Tool Room Operations: Demonstrate a strong understanding of tool room operations including the selection and maintenance of cutting tools and equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures maintaining a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all personnel.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Handson experience with lathe machines and familiarity with machining operations.
- Precision and Attention to Detail: Ability to produce highquality work with close tolerances ensuring components meet exact specifications.
- Measurement Competency: Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify product dimensions.
- Understanding of Tool Room Operations: Comprehensive knowledge of tool room practices including tool selection and maintenance.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve machining issues efficiently.
- Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- 12th Pass education.
- ITI Certification in Machining or a related field.
- Previous experience operating lathe machines is preferred.
Working Hours:
- Shift Timing: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Overtime Policy: Overtime as required by the Head of Department (HOD) compensated at standard overtime rates.
