Turner & Townsends Seattle Washington team are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead their Cost Management team. Working within our Real Estate Cost Management team you will be supporting Developers Manufacturers Retail Health and Tech clients.
The ideal candidate will be selfmotivated driven and able to work independently as well as part of a team. In this significant position you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction embedding and promoting the purpose values and vision of Turner & Townsend.
Responsibilities:
- Onsite / inoffice work is required.
- Strong leadership skills; experience leading a Cost Management team ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
- Pivot between a delivery and management role.
- Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.
- Process improvement Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the market acting as a brand ambassador and creating a pipeline of opportunity.
- Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
- Support our existing key client relationships.
- Lead proposals for new work.
- Be responsible for the financial management of commissions.
- Undertake Staff Performance reviews.
- Set a clear strategy and ambition for the team.
- Identify coach and mentor talent to realize their potential and celebrate the success of others.

Qualifications :
- SME in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in the construction industry with a good understanding of the role of a cost consultant.
- Effectively able to pivot between a delivery and management role.
- Graduate degree in quantity surveying cost management construction management or engineering.
- RICS or equivalent accredidation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency using spreadsheets.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Drive to be proactive and selfmotivated.
- The tenacity and ambition to inject value and create solutions.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.
- Good organization skills ability to multitask prioritize and be a team player.
