Job Description
The main responsibilities for Laboratory Aide in Microbiology are the registering of patient specimens onto the Laboratory Information Management Systems ensuring demographics on the forms match the specimens. Identification & resolving specimen queries. Liaise with Microbiology staff to streamline specimen reception booking in and processing.
Qualifications :
Education
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent but science related diploma desirable but not essential
Experience
- Ideally 1 year in a similar role but not mandatory (can be trained inhouse).
Skills & Abilities
- Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role
