Key Responsibilities
As the ADON your duties will include:
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities.
- Oversee daily staffing processes and ensure effective communication across nursing teams.
- Support the onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff.
- Clinical Operations:
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and ensure effective infection control protocols.
- Meet the medical needs of residents and maintain accurate timely medical records.
- Coordinate and direct the planning and implementation of nursing services.
- Compliance & Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Monitor and address issues related to documentation and staff performance.
- Flexibility & Responsiveness:
- Be available 24/7 oncall to address unpredictable needs.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedules to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
- 3 years of experience in longterm care settings (required).
- 2 years of management experience (preferred).
- 1 year of staff education experience (preferred).
- Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain flexibility in a dynamic environment.
