Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Lead SDET you will be responsible for leading the design development and execution of automated and manual testing strategies to ensure the highest quality of software applications. Your primary role will involve creating and implementing robust testing frameworks test strategies and guiding a team of SDETs to deliver comprehensive test coverage for critical projects. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers QA engineers product managers and business analysts to define test requirements and ensure effective quality assurance throughout the SDLC. In addition to your leadership duties you will also be actively involved in the creation of automation scripts performance testing and integration testing while driving best practices in quality assurance processes. Your work will directly impact the reliability performance and functionality of the applications ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilites:
- Design and implement test automation frameworks using Java RestAssured and Playwright.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for APIs UI and endtoend workflows.
- Work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to integrate and execute test automation seamlessly.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges and create performance testing strategies to address them.
- Lead mentor and manage a team of QA engineers fostering professional growth and development.
- Establish and track KPIs for quality assurance activities ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Conduct regular oneonone meetings performance reviews and feedback sessions with team members.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align QA efforts with business objectives.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in test automation using Java RestAssured JavaScript and Playwright.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs web services and microservices architecture.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Handson experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD).
- Proficient in writing clean maintainable and scalable code.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
- Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring QA or SDET teams.
- Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
