Position Overview
This role puts you at the forefront of New Product Introduction (NPI) where your metrology expertise will ensure flawless execution from concept through production. With a focus on Calypso programming youll develop cuttingedge measurement processes contribute to quality assurance and work closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and optimize CMM systems using Calypso software to meet rigorous quality standards.
- Perform detailed dimensional inspections to validate components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish and maintain measurement protocols.
- Analyze inspection data and provide actionable insights to enhance product quality.
- Address metrology challenges during product launches ensuring seamless integration.
- Develop and refine procedures to improve measurement efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain calibrate and select appropriate metrology equipment to support production needs.
- Mentor and train team members on metrology techniques and technologies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in CMM programming with advanced proficiency in Calypso.
- Comprehensive understanding of GD&T dimensional metrology and inspection methodologies.
- Experience in New Product Introduction or similar manufacturing environments.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools and analyzing complex data.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail in quality assurance processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Manufacturing.
- Industry certifications or specialized training in metrology or quality systems.
- Experience in industries like aerospace automotive or medical devices.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks such as Six Sigma or Lean.
