Position Overview
As a Metrology Engineer youll be a vital part of a team driving precision and innovation in New Product Introduction (NPI). Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine CMM programs using Calypso software to support NPI and production processes.
- Conduct precise dimensional inspections to validate and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering quality and production teams to establish robust measurement protocols.
- Analyze measurement data to provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve metrology challenges during product development and launch.
- Optimize measurement processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage metrology equipment ensuring optimal functionality and calibration.
- Mentor team members on best practices in measurement and quality assurance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Expertise in CMM programming with advanced knowledge of Calypso software.
- Strong background in GD&T dimensional inspection and quality management.
- Experience with NPI or similar manufacturing environments requiring high precision.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining advanced measurement tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on solving complex metrology challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Industry certifications in metrology quality systems or continuous improvement practices.
