About the Job:
Our financial services client is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer with 25 years of experience to join their team. In this role you will work on developing and maintaining software applications. You will primarily work with C# .NET 8 JavaScript and TypeScript technologies. Experience in the finance industry is preferred as you will be contributing to critical systems within the sector. This role has Hybrid Flexibility (4 days wfh) within Houston TX. Due to being onsite only candidates currently residing within Houston will be considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain highperformance scalable and secure software applications using C# .NET 8 JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product managers business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.
- Write clean maintainable and efficient code while following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize application performance ensuring smooth operations in production environments.
- Implement and maintain database interactions working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Integrate with thirdparty APIs and external systems.
- Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry trends proposing improvements and innovations to existing systems.
- Collaborate with the team to implement Agile practices and contribute to sprint planning standups and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 25 years of professional software development experience particularly in C# .NET (preferably .NET 8) JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of objectoriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Proven experience with web application development frontend and backend technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React Angular or similar).
- Excellent debugging and problemsolving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs microservices architecture and API integration.
- Solid understanding of version control systems particularly Git.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the finance or fintech industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with financial systems trading platforms or regulatory compliance standards is a plus.
- Experience working in an environment with high data security standards and sensitive information.
