Job Description
Job Title: Powerbuilder Programmer (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification:
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software solutions using PowerBuilder.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications and systems to meet evolving business needs.
- Write efficient reusable and reliable code.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Work with relational databases like Oracle SQL Server or Sybase to support application functionality.
- Analyze user requirements and business processes to provide effective software solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand technical specifications.
- Conduct unit testing integration testing and performance testing of applications.
- Debug and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Prepare technical documentation user manuals and system design documents.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in PowerBuilder application development (PowerBuilder Classic or PowerBuilder .NET).
- Strong expertise in database design and development using SQL (e.g. Oracle Sybase or SQL Server).
- Experience with objectoriented programming concepts.
- Experience in debugging troubleshooting and optimizing application performance.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git TFS).
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Basic understanding of modern programming languages like Java .NET or C#.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as web services (SOAP/REST).
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
