Job Description
Commercial Manager Mining and Petroleum
Our client a prominent player in the Mining and Petroleum industry is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team in Zambia. This senior role will focus on driving commercial success optimizing business performance and fostering growth in a dynamic and competitive market.
Basic Duties:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Oversee contract negotiations supplier agreements and pricing structures.
- Identify new business opportunities within the Mining and Petroleum sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders clients and partners.
- Manage commercial risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with operational teams to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.
- Provide insights and reporting on commercial performance to senior management.
- Oversee budgeting forecasting and financial planning for commercial projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Commerce Mining or Petroleum Management (MBA is advantageous).
- Minimum 810 years of commercial experience with proven success in the Mining and Petroleum sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts and supplier relationships.
- Excellent understanding of financial planning budgeting and commercial risk management.
- Knowledge of Zambian industry regulations and experience in African markets is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced challenging environment and travel when required.
