Job Description
Our client a top financial institution is currently seeking Data Center Operation Engineer for their technology team
Duties & Responsibilities:(6Month contract)
Provide simple technical support services including:
1. Data Centre operations and service provisioning.
2. Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of Data Centre/ Server Room/ Hub Room/ IT Room facilities such as Power UPS Chiller Generator Fire fighting system and BMS system
3. Liaise with various parties such as contractors engineers and technical staff for facility management services and fitting out project
4. Handle the process of budgeting tendering and supervision for customer s project major repairing and maintenance work
5. Prepare method statement and working procedure
6. Provide facility management services including planned routine maintenances and ahhoc emergency calls
7. Assist equipment setup and decommission in the rack
8. Perform evaluation monitoring administration and troubleshooting on network devices and services.
9. Perform Level 3 Incident handling and escalation to upper tier
10. Oversee delivery of infrastructure setup including data/voice network setup server rooms servers WiFi security appliances IP CCTV IP Phone and structural cabling
11. Review and manage ICT documentations perform UAT and formulate reports on projects progress problems and solutions
12. Update equipment inventory management system and rack information.
13. Perform vendor coordination arrange onsite access
14. Follow procedures instructions and checklists to complete tasks with good quality
15. Ensure all client requests and other adhoc duties are processed in an efficient and timely manner
16. Assist to handle inhouse onsite services and supervise the performance of inhouse technical staff
17. Other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
. HKCEE/ DSE or above. ITrelated qualification is an advantage.
2. Over 6 years in relevant IT infrastructure roles
3. At least 3 years I.T. support networking and field service hand on working experience
4. At least 3 years Data Centre hand on working experience.
5. Experience in Windows operation an advantage
6. Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and other protocols including use of troubleshooting tools
7. Solid understanding of client/server networking and Internet technologies fundamentals
8. Experience in supporting and servicing enterprise infrastructure environment.
9. Good communication skills in both verbal and written Chinese (Cantonese) and English
10. Understanding of data centre concepts (Space Power Cooling)
11. Understanding of IT network concepts (Router Switch Circuit Cable)
12. Experienced in Data Centre facility cabling and network fault recovery etc will be an advantage.
13. Possess professional certificates (i.e. MCSECCNA CDCP ITIL) is definitely an advantage
14. Good communication and interpersonal skills
15. Willing to perform Off Office hours/ Over time duties (including Weekends and Holidays)
16. Able to work independently.

Minimum 5 years working experience in banking industry from recognized establishments in financial services and/or Fintech related industries with the following attributes: Preferable to have previous business consultation, IT project management experience in banking industry Good understanding of banking s relevant policies and operational procedures Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Interested to meet with technology firms, active in exploring new business opportunities Good knowledge of financial planning and budget control Organised, self-motivated, eager to learn, able work under tight timeline & pressure Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient of both spoken and written English and Chinese Certified in ECF-Fintech is preferable

University graduate, preferably major in accounting, finance or related discipline
