For Saxion Hogeschool we are looking for a Lecturer International Law.
This is an existing module of the Englishlanguage variant of Finance & Control both our 4year program (location Enschede) and short degree (location Deventer). Short degree are students who have studied for about 3 years at a partner university abroad and are doing their final year with us. The students are very diverse and eager to learn. They come from all over the world.
The content of this module contains aspects of international law. Questions like which court of law has jurisdiction when a dispute arise when the opposing parties live in different countries what happens if I close an international sales contract what do I do when the other party doesnt deliver An important source of international law is the European Union. You will explore with the students how the institutions of the EU function how the EU influences national law how the EU tries to ensure free movement of people goods services and capital.
At the end of this quarter the students need to have a general overview of the main topics of international law. The goal is to ensure that they recognize the themes that are encountered in this quarter in their professional practice and have the knowledge to know how to encounter any legal issues regarding international law.
As lecturer International Law you are responsible for lecturing taking the test grading the test taking the retake and grading the retake. In addition maintaining contact with students and providing the review of both the retake and the test itself.
Maximum 81.2 hours spread over the contract period. The module has 2 contact moments for both Enschede and Deventer and will be placed in the schedule. It concerns 1.5 clock hours per location so 6 contact hours in total other contact can be completed online. Scheduling in consultation.

You have coaching skills to guide and inspire our students during their studies towards our field both personally and professionally.
You are HBO or WO educated.
You have a Basic Examination Qualification (BKE) or are willing to obtain one (Saxion can facilitate this costs to be borne by the contractor).
Experience in teaching is an advantage

NOTE: If an independent contractor is presented by a supplier then a Feeonly construction applies. The cost of this construction is 2 per hour worked for the supplier (maximum 1 year). After 1 year the supplier will be removed from the chain.
Screening:
If the candidate is allowed to start at the client a preemployment screening will take place. We will send you the required documents at that time. Your candidate may only start after the preemployment screening has been completed.
The candidate has proof of identity (passport or identity card) which is valid at intake and on the starting date of the candidates contract and can be presented for verification.
IMPORTANT: Fill in all candidate data correctly. At place of residence enter the place of residence of the candidate. These are details that the client wants to receive with the offer. With incomplete/incorrect offers there is a risk that the candidate cannot be offered and is thus rejected.
