Position: Chief Accountant
Location: Cairo Egypt
Contract Details: Fulltime
Company Overview:
Our retail company is a leading player in the retail industry in Egypt. We have a strong presence in the market and have been providing highquality products and services to our customers for over 10 years. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team in Cairo.
Job Summary:
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our retail company. This includes overseeing the accounting department managing financial transactions preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting excellent leadership skills and a thorough understanding of the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the accounting department including managing a team of accountants and financial analysts
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements
- Monitor and manage cash flow budgeting and forecasting
- Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Ensure compliance with all local and international accounting regulations and laws
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and procedures
- Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns and other financial reports
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure their professional development and growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field
- Experience AR/AP/.GL/REPORTING / VAT/ WITH HOLDING TAX / AUDIT / CLOSING
- Total Experience in Accounting from 510 at least 2 as CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
- MS Dynamics Experience is Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferably in the retail industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
