Job Description
Lead the finance team to ensure optimal performance of all finance and accounting functions.
Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to management.
Manage the full scope of accounting operations and related activities.
Prepare management accounts and projectspecific profit and loss reports.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes including the preparation of budget reports.
Review intercompany transactions reconciliation and balance sheet analyses.
Assist in tax planning strategies and oversee the companys tax submissions.
Support project financing and manage banking facility applications ensuring efficient utilization postapproval.
Standardize the chart of accounts and reporting formats across the Group.
Monitor improve and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and statutory regulations taking corrective measures as needed.
Develop enhance and implement accounting policies and procedures including process automation to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency within the finance function.
Implement and manage the consolidation module for group reporting.
Provide agile effective solutions for urgent and ad hoc business requirements.
Collaborate with departments and subsidiaries to provide guidance on finance and accountingrelated matters.
Liaise with auditors and other relevant stakeholders to fulfil statutory and compliance obligations.
Oversee the preparation analysis and communication of annual financial statements including providing insights and commentary on financial and management reports.
Take the lead or contribute to ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree or professional qualification in Accounting Finance or a related field such as ACCA MIA ICAEW CPA & etc.
At least 45 years of relevant work experience in construction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Strong attention to detail.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Ability to perform well under pressure.
Capable of evaluating numerous detailed tasks prioritising and organizing work for optimal results.
Effective communication skills across all levels of personnel.
Candidates must possess at least Bachelor s Degree, Partial Professional Degree. Minimum 5 years working experience in Construction Industry. Added advantage if having audit, tax or corporate finance exposure. Possess good communication skills and fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Can handle full set of accounts of Construction Industry. Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Dynamic BC accounting software Meticulous, good with figures and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MIA or equivalent.
