The Vice President Finance & Accounting (US Operations) is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities for Central Moloneys US segment including financial reporting internal controls and tax compliance. This role ensures the accuracy of financial operations supports ERP implementation and collaborates with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings. The VP will align accounting operations with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for the US segment.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors for federal and state tax filings and compliance.
- Lead the finance and accounting aspects of the ERP implementation.
- Supervise the Controller Cost Accounting Manager and AR/AP Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the US accounting team fostering a culture of accountability.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving internal controls and efficiency in accounting processes.
- Support financial audits and ensure timely reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage tax compliance processes including federal state and local tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA required).
- 10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience including tax compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP federal and state tax regulations and audit requirements.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Experience with ERP implementations and standard costing systems preferred.
- Strong leadership communication and analytical skills.
