Responsibilities:
- Performs experiments on small scale to assess process changes/improvements.
- Evaluates performance and suitability of new technologies and process changes by testing and reporting different critical parameters.
- Performs trials and experiments participate in the design and scaleup of new technologies.
- Conducts routine bases analytical tests to evaluate and control product yield purity and impurity profiles.
- Works closely with other lab team members to support the upkeep maintenance and efficient utilization of the lab.
- Write SOPs batch records and develop research outlines for development projects.
- Utilize robust statistical analysis to draw appropriate conclusions from the data
- Knowledge of protein purification techniques.
- Experience in protein process development.
- Knowledge of analytical tools for analysis of proteins.
- Experience with DOE (design of experiments) six sigma and lean manufacturing a plus.
- Knowledge of GMPs.
- Good interpersonal skills good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in cold environment.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree is a scientific discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- In general the position requires a combination of sedentary work. Also walking around observing conditions in the facility.
- Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning.
- Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head face hands feet and body.
- No makeup jewelry contact lenses nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
- Will work in a cold wet environment.
- Must be able to work multiple shifts including weekends.

Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline. 3-5 years or more of experience executing commissioning, qualification, and validation for a range of equipment within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills. Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot effectively. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
