Job Description

Job Title: Group IT Administrator

Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Group IT team the IT Administrator will provide firstline support across all sites and assist the wider business in ITrelated tasks. This role will also involve offering support and acting as a deputy for the Head of IT Systems when necessary.

Reports to:
Head of IT Systems

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment
  • Handson experience with hardware and network configuration
  • Experience with data and network cable management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (installation configuration troubleshooting)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure and systems
  • Provide firstline support by managing support calls and emails
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops laptops and mobile devices
  • Support and maintain CRM MRP ERP and other related applications
  • Maintain IT security and ensure GDPR compliance
  • Assist the IT Manager with the daytoday management of IT services
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all support requests
  • Basic server management and administration
  • Support and maintain bespoke inhouse systems
  • Manage cloudbased systems

Key Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail including the ability to develop processes and documentation
  • Experience with report writing and project management
  • A solid understanding of IT desktop and server environments
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take initiative to improve IT systems processes and user experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication skills able to interact with users at all organizational levels
  • Full UK driving license

Additional Experience & Information:

  • Willingness to travel: The role involves travel to various group locations (approx. 2 days per week)
  • Outofhours availability for urgent IT support and businesscritical issues
  • Experience with VOIP phone systems troubleshooting welding systems thermal printing CAD software wireless networks switches/ADSL hubs and CCTV systems is advantageous
