You will be required to build strategies and be responsible for P&L. To ensure success as a category/vendor manager you should be able to pinpoint customer/shopper trends and understand the advanced principles of category management.

Service Provider Management Identify onboard and train new service providers in the category.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing service providers.

Quality Assurance Set and enforce quality standards for services within the category.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure service quality meets company standards.
Address and resolve customer complaints related to the category.
Pricing and Profitability Analyse market trends and competitor pricing to optimize service pricing.
Ensure profitability of services within the category.
Implement pricing strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
Marketing and Promotion Create successful campaigns to promote category services in collaboration with the marketing team.
Develop and implement promotional initiatives that will increase consumer engagement and retention.
Monitor and analyze the efficacy of marketing initiatives modifying strategies as necessary.
Technology Integration Collaborate with the technical team to improve the platforms user experience for category services.
Identify potential for technology advancements and new product development within the category.
Data Analysis and Reporting Use data analytics technologies to track and analyze important performance metrics.
Create frequent reports on category performance and give insights to the management team.
Analyse data to discover potential for development and optimization within the category.
