Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Safety Valve & HND Finance Business Partner on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 474.80 598.00 per Day
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand and manage the DSG High Needs budget and Safety Valve programme.
- Perform detailed savings calculations and update the Safety Valve model regularly.
- Conduct regular reporting and forecasting for the Safety Valve and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) programmes.
- Act as the lead for all SEND and Safety Valve financerelated queries and reports presenting findings at Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for nonfinancial stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Accountant CIPFA ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a similar finance business partner role preferably within a local government or public sector setting.
- Experience as a finance professional in a large and complex public sector organisation and an understanding of the annual financial cycle and regime within local authorities
