As a leading outsourcing partners we are hiring an Oracle DBA to be deployed at our client site which is a technology consulting and services company with over 11800 employees in 33 locations worldwide.More than 130 leading enterprises depend on their expertise to become more innovative agile and competitive. They specialize in creating designing engineering marketing and managing digital products and experiences for fastgrowing companies aiming to innovate quickly and effectively.
Note: This is a C2H position
Job Details
- Experience Required: Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle databases administration
- Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/Graduation in computer science or related field.
- Location: Hyderabad/Remote
- Salary Bracket : Max upto 28 LPA.
- Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days (Candidates with a notice period of less than 30 days are preferred)
Mandatory Skills:
- Administration of Oracle on Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong operational familiarity with RAC on Oracle 11g/12c
Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills in English
- Oracle Database Administration on Unix/Linux
- Experience with Oracle RAC on 11g/12c and above
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and RDS
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Cloud RDS (a plus)
- Expertise in database backup/recovery (NAS RMAN)
- Scripting skills (UNIX shell)
- Problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with change and incident management policies
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary support for critical production Oracle databases
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents
- Ensure 24x7 operation and availability of databases
- Perform DDL generation cloning data refreshes and performance tuning
- Manage database backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues
- Develop and maintain database standards and procedures
- Identify and resolve database issues proactively
- Work closely with vendors for problem resolution
- Respond to performance inquiries and application errors
- Participate in new system builds and deploy standard jobs
- Ensure system supportability before production utilization
- Document and track problem resolutions
- Provide outofhours support for critical issues
- Stay current on Oracle database features and functionality
- Mentor and coach junior database engineers
- Contribute to multiple work streams and set individual goals
- Proactively suggest improvements in operations and technology usage
