Job Description
Job Type: C2C/Fulltime/W2
Unloading and Sorting : Assist in the unloading of raw materials from delivery trucks and accurately sort and store them in designated areas.
Inventory Management : Support regular cycle counts of raw materials to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Equipment Operation : Safely operate forklifts and overhead hoists to move materials within the facility.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of material movement inventory counts and any discrepancies noted during handling.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Collaboration : Work closely with the manufacturing team and other departments to streamline material flow and address any material handling issues.
Technology: Ability to use electronic tablet devices to scan delivery of product within the manufacturing process per the production router
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience: 13 years previous experience in a manufacturing or material handling role is preferred.
Certification: Valid forklift certification is required. Overhead hoist certification is preferred but not mandatory (willing to train).
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and inventory tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.
Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and inventory management.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to specified weight e.g. 50lbs) regularly.
Prolonged periods of standing walking and operating material handling equipment.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including exposure to noise dust and temperature variations.
Standard manufacturing environment with adherence to safety protocols.
